Two photographs from a collection assembled by the late aviation author Roy Humphreys. On the reverse of the photo's is the following information..

Hawker Demon K4539 of No.25 Squadron, Hawkinge 1938. Demon K4539 broke its undercarriage in heavy landing. Flown by Emmett of 25 Squadron. Picture by Flt. Lt. "Pat" Burke, DFC. Note absence of squadron insignia on Demons. The gunners cockpit with Scarf-ring can be seen clearly.
