An interesting report on an action in the Channel when M.T.B.s and M.G.B.s of the Royal Navy and Royal Norwegian Navy operated against a German convoy of merchant ships, E-Boats and trawlers. Just one of many such incidents, this particular engagement took place on the night of 8th September 1941. It makes fascinating reading, and gives an insight into how such operations were conducted.

Extracted from ADM 267/130 at the National Archives. I did intend to transcribe it, but never seem to get the time..

That was exciting reading, John!  I liked the bit about the enemy trawlers apparently engaging their own E-Boat escorts!
