1st August 1942
Bde H.Q. returned to NURSTEAD COURT after exercise "HAROLD"
2nd August 1942
Bns returned to previous locations after ecercise "HAROLD", carried out training on a Coy and Pl basis until 20 Aug.
4th August 1942
Major G.W.H.Peters left Bde H.Q. on taking up appointment as G2 Trg South Eastern Army. Major R.H.Walker R.E. assumed duties as B.M.
7th August 1942
Bde H.Q. beat 10 Green Howards in Bde Knockout cricket competition.
Amendment No. 2 to Bde Location Statement issued.
12th August 1942
Adm Instruction No. 1 re return to Folkestone area issued.
14th August 1942
Adm instruction No. 2 issued.
18th August 1942
Bde M.T. Rally run by Bde H.Q.
Comd 12 Corps, Lt-Gen J.A.H.Gemmell C.B., D.S.O., M.C. visited Bde H.Q. and Bns and watched trg.
20th August 1942
206 Bde less 10 Green Howards returned to Folkestone area. Bde H.Q. established at Garrison H.Q. SHORNCLIFFE. 10 Green Howards remained present location until 26 Aug.
21st August 1942
1500 Comd Folkestone Fortress passed from 70 Buffs to 206 Inf Bde.
22nd August 1942
Adm Instruction No. 3 ref Moves to Winter Quarters issued.
Amendment No. 1 to above issued.
25th August 1942
Op Instruction No. 32 regarding taking over of 138 Inf Bde area issued.
26th August 1942
Amendment No. 1 to above issued.
206 Inf Bde took over 46 Div front from Dymchurch Redoubt - Lydden Spout relieving 138 Inf Bde in Centre Bde area from all anti-raid roles. Comd passed at 1800 hrs.
1100 Bde H.Q. closed SHORNCLIFFE and re-opened GOLDENHURST FM BONNINGTON R 507530
10 Green Howards re-joined Bde.
28th August 1942
Bde Op Instruction No. 33 - Plan to Defeat Raids - issued.

A big gap in the War Diary, and then the final entries for the month of December 1942..
1st December 1942
206 Inf Bde relieved 219 Indep Inf Bde at Dover. Bde H.Q. established in the Keep Yard, Dover Castle. 206 Inf Bde relieved by 9 Inf Bde.
5th December 1942
Sir Hugh Knatchbull-Hugessen, H.M. Ambassador in Ankara visited Bde H.Q.
9th December 1942
0910 2 F.W. 190 attacked balloons over Dover harbour. One balloon shot down. Let Gen. M.G.N. Stopford DSO, MC, comd 12 Corps, visited Bde H.Q. and Bns 206 Inf Bde.
10th December 1942
British long range guns shelled German shipping in the channel. German long range guns replied. 13 Shells landed in Dover and 21 in St Margaret's area. 1 civilian killed, 1 civilian and 1 soldier on leave severely injured, 5 civilians slightly injured. No damage to military property.
14th December 1942
3 German Naval P.W. picked up from sea and taken to E.M.S. Hospital, Dover. Guarded by Bde H.Q. Def Pl.
17th December 1942
Lt Col G.D.B. Russel, 2/4 S.Lan.R. assumed comd 206 Inf Bde during absence of Bde Comd as Chief Umpire for 3 Div on Exercise GHOST.
21st December 1942
Bde Comd returned from Exercise GHOST.
22nd December 1942
Location Statement issued
27th December 1942
