Two team photographs taken at Riverhead (near Sevenoaks) in March 1892, a match between Riverhead and Westerham. Looks a bit unfair, as one team only appears to have ten players as opposed to eleven. I wonder who won?

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, the photograph of the Westerham team shows eleven individuals and that of Riverhead shows twelve. Maybe Riverhead had a substitute available to them and Westerham couldn't muster a twelfth man? Or are you assuming that the gentlemen not dressed for the game are the respective team managers?

Yep, I was jumping to the conclusion that the managers appeared in the shot.
