A couple of pages extracted from WORK 28/300 at the National Archives regarding the disused railway tunnel at St. Lawrence, Isle of Wight. It doesn't seem to have been used as a shelter in WWII, but it was examined and logged in the Central Register of Underground Accommodation in 1957, with an eye to adapting it if the Soviet Union started bombing.

Yes, but nothing of any great interest - just details of overhead cover, nearest habitation and suchlike.
